Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, tooled shoulder, and applied handle, decorated with a vibrant cobalt design of flower hanging from a leafy stem. Excellent contrast with exceptionally strong cobalt. 1 3/4" restoration to spout. H 15 5/8".
