Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout and applied handle, decorated with a leafy stem bearing two large "spitting" tulips. As-made condition. Small stone ping on front. Contact mark near base and on top of handle. 2 1/4" in-the-firing chip at base with a 1 3/4" line extending horizontally from it. H 16 1/2".
