Rare Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Incised Floral Decoration, Remmey or Crolius Family, Manhattan, NY, circa 1805, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled rim, decorated on one side with an incised tulip with heavily-detailed blossom, and on the reverse with an incised daisy. Decorations and handle terminals highlighted in unusual manganese slip. Both handles restored. Base chips. Rim chips and 3/4" separation in rim. Stone ping in incised leaf on one side. Salt drip on opposite side. H 9 1/2".
