Rare Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Urn and Foliate Decoration, Stamped "FLACK & VAN ARSDALE / CORNWALL ONT.," circa 1875, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of an open-handled, pedestal-based urn with leafy vines extending from it. Unusual decoration. Some fry to cobalt. Minor spout chip and minor glazed-over spout chip. Small stone ping in shoulder. H 15 1/2".
