Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "SEYMOUR & BOSWORTH / HARTFORD," CT origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large cobalt bird perched on a branch. 7/8" line in one handle. A few base chips. Some spots of fry to cobalt. Chips and wear to inner ledge where a lid would rest. H 11 1/4".
