Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, early to mid 19th century, highly ovoid jug with rounded foot, ribbed strap handle, and short spout with thin flattened rim. Decorated with heavy streaks of manganese over an olive ground. In-the-firing glaze loss and roughness to top of rim, likely from a stacker. Spout chips. A few spots of glaze loss to handle. 1 1/8" base chip along with other much smaller base chips. H 8 3/8".
