Glazed Redware Dog Match Holder, probably PA origin, mid to late 19th century, molded scene of a reclining hunting dog with rabbit and bird, beside a hollowed stump-form match holder. Surface decorated with manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Wear to two corners of base. Glaze flake to rabbit's haunch. Chip and wear to rim of stump. 3/4" in-the-firing flake to underside. H 2 7/8" ; Length 6 1/4".
