Half-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "JFS," James Franklin Seagle, Vale, NC, third quarter 19th century, small-sized ovoid jar with flared collar accented with tooled lines where it meets the shoulder of the jar. Surface covered in a greenish alkaline glaze. As-made condition with some in-the-firing residue on underside. H 9 1/2".
