Exceptional Glazed Redware Lidded Sugar Bowl with Mocha Decoration, PA origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid bowl with rounded foot and ribbed handles, decorated with a rare mocha design under a clear lead glaze. Interior coated in a cream-colored slip and covered in a clear lead glaze. Original domed lid with mocha decoration, its edge embellished with cream-colored slip and coggling. Excellent form with outstanding decoration. Bowl broken into three pieces and reglued. Glaze wear to rim and handles and small hole in side. Lid with large edge chips and 3" reglued piece at edge. H (including lid) 4 3/4".
