Extremely Rare Slip-Decorated Redware Rundlet, probably Pennsylvania origin, possibly Moravian, early to mid 19th century, small-sized keg form with flattened back and spout at center, decorated with an elaborate slip-trailed tulip design in cream and brown slip over an olive ground. Bands of cream-colored slip flank a wavy line of green slip above and below. Surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Excellent decoration and desirable form. Chips to rim. Heavy chipping to foot. Damage to spout. Some wear to slip decoration. H 9 1/2".
