Albany Slip Glazed Stoneware Canning Jar, Stamped "E.W. MORT / ALUM WELLS, VA," Washington County, VA, origin, late 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared rim, covered in a dark brown, Albany slip glaze. In-the-potting vertical scratch in clay on front. Rim chip and tiny rim nick. H 8 1/2".
