Two-Gallon Bristol Slip Glazed Stoneware Perth Amboy, NJ Advertising Jug, attributed to the Fulper Bros. Pottery, Flemington, NJ, late 19th century, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and squared spout, slip-trailed in cobalt with the advertising "N.Y. Wine & Liquor Store / Cor Smith & High Sts. / Perth Amboy. / N.J.". A good example of NJ advertising. Spout chips. Horizontal crack at base of handle. Two in-the-firing separations on interior of spout, not visible on exterior. Spout chips. Base chip. H 13 5/8".
