Rare Six-Quart Stoneware Jar, Slip-Trailed "Satterlee & Morey" in Script, Stamped "NEW YORK STONEWARE CO.," circa 1870, with rounded shoulder and flared rim, decorated in slip-trailed cobalt with the potting firm name "Satterlee & Morey" on both sides. An unusual method of signature for this company. Some fry to cobalt and two chips on interior of rim. H 10 3/8".
