Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "RIEDINGER & CAIRE / POUGHKEEPSIE, NY," circa 1860, straight-sided jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt bird with crest, perched on a stylized branch. Two spout chips. 1" surface flake on front. Some lines of wear to reverse. 5/8" worn spot to handle. H 14 3/4".
