Small-Sized Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, probably D.P. Shenfelder, circa 1870, ovoid jar with flattened rim and tooled shoulder, decorated with a brushed cobalt flower. Four hairlines from rim, measuring 2 1/2", 2", 1 3/4", and 1 1/2". In-the-firing faint X-shaped line on underside, which extends onto front of jar in two places. Four rim chips. H 4 7/8".
