Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, straight-sided crock with squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated around the shoulder with brushed cobalt clover heads underscored by a dashed cobalt line. 1" stone ping under one handle. Bloating to surface. Kiln furniture marks. Touch mark to one handle and chip to opposite handle. In-the-firing rim chip. H 15".
