One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H. MYERS," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, straight-sided jar with tooled foot, rounded shoulder, and squared rim, decorated completely around with leaves and flowers extending from a central stem. As is typical of Myers stoneware, this jar's decoration is painted with a thick brush in exceptionally strong cobalt slip. Five small rim chips. H 12 1/2".
