Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Stephen Sweeney, Henrico Co., VA, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated front and back with a brushed cobalt flower with looping blossom. Extensive restoration to much of surface and one handle, not affecting decoration. H 14 1/8".
