Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / FORT EDWARD, NY," circa 1875, straight-sided jug with tooled spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a leaf. In-the-firing crazing to surface, particularly evident on underside. In-the-firing inverted U-shaped line at base, extending from underside. Tiny spout nick. In-the-firing 4" line on underside, which appears to have occurred in the firing. Two base chips. H 14 3/4".
