Two-Gallon Prattsville, NY Stoneware Advertising Crock with Cobalt Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration, attributed to Brady & Ryan, Ellenville, NY, circa 1885, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a chicken pecking kernels of corn from a stylized ground. Impressed above with the advertising, "C. H. PLATTNER / PRATTSVILLE, N. Y." Cobalt highlights to advertising and capacity mark. Areas of staining to surface. Otherwise excellent condition. H 9 5/8".
