Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Dove Decoration, Stamped "F. B. NORTON SONS. / WORCESTER MASS," circa 1880, semi-ovoid jug with cylindrical spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a dove with looping wing detail, perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. Staining to surface. A small spout chip. Some fry to cobalt. Albany slip residue to underside of handle. H 14 3/4".
