Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, American, third quarter 19th century, a two-gallon semi-ovoid with slip-trailed spotted floral motif, stamped "H. WESTON," Honesdale, PA, circa 1870; a two-gallon cylindrical jug with abstract circular and looping line decoration, stamped "S. PEPSON / ALBANY: N. Y," circa 1860; and a two-gallon cylindrical jug with abstract slip-trailed floral motifs including spots, stamped "Ithaca, N Y." Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Weston jug in excellent condition with slumped spout, small chip to interior of spout, and flecks of old white paint to surface. Pepson with in-the-firing flaws to handle and reverse, the spout with partially restored chips. Ithaca jug with a crack in lower handle terminal, all-over staining, and a large, very shallow flake to underside. H (of tallest) 14 1/2".
