Three Pieces of Utilitarian Stoneware, American, a one-gallon cylindrical jar, stenciled "A.P. Donaghho, / Parkersburg, W. Va.," circa 1880; a bottle, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "DF / SMITH & SNOWS / WHITEROOT / PAT.JULY.17.66," Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1870; and a bottle with sporadic, likely-alkaline glaze, late 19th or 20th century. Donaghho jar with surface wear, two tiny nicks to shoulder molding, and minor in-the-firing nicks to base area. Bottle with chip to base of spout and traces of old grey paint to base. Southern bottle in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of tallest) 10 1/4".
