Two Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "ALBANY.NY," probably O'Connell Pottery, Albany, NY, circa 1860, each of semi-ovoid form with stylized slip-trailed design underscored by a looping flourish, the larger measuring six quarts. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Larger jar with a small T-shaped line at base, continuing a short distance onto underside, a long line and in-the-firing fissure to underside (partially visible on interior), two colored chips to interior of rim, and nicks and wear to inner rim for lid. Other jar in excellent condition with some staining, a minuscule nick to inner rim for lid, and a matte in-the-firing spot to shoulder. H (of smaller) 9".
