Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Syrup Jugs, Stamped "ALBANY NY," probably O'Connell Pottery, circa 1860, each with flared and pinched pouring spout and abstract slip-trailed floral motifs. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Taller with spout chips, a short crack in spout, a two short hairlines to handle, staining to surface, an in-the-firing ping to shoulder on reverse, and a line on underside, forming a Y at base, extending through a glazed-over base chip. Other jug with a few small spout chips, a small amount of fry to cobalt, minor base wear, other minor surface flaws, and staining. H (of taller) 14 1/2".
