Two One-Gallon Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Floral Decoration, NY State origin, second half 19th century, both of cylindrical, handled form, one with brushed and slip-trailed double-floral motif, stamped with cobalt-highlighted "CORTLAND" mark with asterisk below, the other with brushed and slip-trailed flowering vine design, stamped "N. A. WHITE & SON / UTICA, N.Y." Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Cortland crock with some fry to cobalt and water glass staining, in otherwise excellent condition. Utica crock in excellent condition with a minor chip to interior of rim and minor staining. H (of shorter) 6 7/8".
