Glazed Redware Trivet with Relief Urn-and-Grapes Decoration, attributed to John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1850-1880, circular form with coggled edge on three molded feet, decorated with relief grape clusters and leaves surrounding a central urn brimming with flowers and grapes. Surface decorated with sponged manganese over orange clay and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Significant restoration to outer edge of trivet. Wear and some restoration to relief decoration. Diam. 8 5/8".
