Very Rare Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Bowl with Elaborate Kaolin Slip Decoration, Edgefield District, SC, mid 19th century, flaring bowl with semi-rounded rim, decorated around the body with a kaolin-slip drape-and-floral motif against an olive-green alkaline-glazed ground. Reassembled from broken pieces with restoration along breaks and significant additional restoration to missing sections. Diam. 9 3/4" ; H 2 7/8".
