Rare Glazed Stoneware Presentation Pitcher, attributed to the Decker Pottery, Washington County, TN, circa 1872-1910, thin-walled pitcher with footed base, rotund body, and tall collar with incised wavy line treatment, the midsection incised with the name, "Alice Nelson." Proper left side of pitcher is decorated with a small incised shield. Surface covered in a brownish, Albany-slip-type glaze with light overlying salt glaze. Heavy chipping to spout. Otherwise excellent condition. H 7 1/2".
