Iron-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and heavily-tooled foot and base, decorated with dipped iron decoration to the upper and lower body, and covered in a clear salt glaze. A small base chip, minor base wear, and some typical in-the-firing flaws to surface. Shallow chipping to spout. Significant crazing to reverse and proper left side of jug. Some typical in-the-firing flaws to surface. H 10".
