Iron-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "BOSTON.," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily tooled shoulder and tooled, semi-squared spout, featuring dipped iron oxide decoration to the upper and lower body. A 7/8" flake to top of spout. Other small nicks to spout. A few minor, typical in-the-firing flaws to surface. A glazed-over chip to underside at edge. H 12 1/2".
