Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1880, tapering jar with rounded "wax sealer" rim, brush-decorated with graduated inverted swags across the midsection and a freehand stripe below the rim. Very nice condition with some minor surface wear and small amounts of blackish residue to surface, the interior of the rim with a minor chip and two tiny nicks. H 8 1/4".
