Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Cross Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapering jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring an unusual stenciled band of crosses below cobalt dashes. A 1 1/8" flake to interior of rim. Small chips and wear to inner wax sealer rim. Staining to surface. H 8 1/8".
