Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "Sibb J. Beighel / Pleasant - Unity / Westmoreland Co., Pa.," circa 1870-1880, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring Sibb J. Beighel maker's stenciling. A long, thin Y-shaped crack to jar's proper left side, extending to underside. Surface wear. An in-the-firing ping to rim and near base. H 8 1/4".
