Rare Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Teapot, NC origin, second half 19th century, ovoid form with flaring rim, rounded handle, and applied tubular spout with angled tip, the surface covered in a striated, olive-colored alkaline glaze. A 1 1/4" in-the-firing chip to bottom edge. A minor rim chip. A glob of in-the-firing residue to shoulder. H 6 1/4".
