One-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "EVAN R. JONES / PITTSTON, PA.," circa 1875, wide, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a circular blossom emanating from a leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Provenance: Herb and Carol Hausmann Collection. Light exfoliation to base on front. Some staining to surface. Diam. 9 3/4" ; H 5 1/2".
