Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, NY State origin, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled neck, rounded mouth, and footed base, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted floral related to George Lent motifs. Cobalt highlight to base of handle. Provenance: Cathy Treffeisen Collection. A thin crack through handle. A 1 1/4" base chip on front, probably in-the-firing. A 1" base chip on reverse. Various iron pings and deposits to surface. Minor flecks of green paint to surface. H 14".
