Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar with Applied Floral Decoration, Signed "AM," Arie Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1956-1969, squat-shaped, ovoid jar, decorated with three hand-modeled and applied flower-and-leaf motifs, each composed of olive-colored clay. Surface covered in a grayish alkaline glaze over a buff-colored ground. Underside incised with Arie Meaders's initials. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 5 7/8".
