Scarce Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Flowerpot, Signed "ChEEVER MEADERS / MOSSY / CREEK GREEN / CLEVELAND, GA," circa 1950s-mid 1960s, flaring form with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, the surface covered in a mottled green alkaline glaze, most of which is matte in appearance. Original drain hole in underside. Underside incised with large Cheever Meaders signature. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent condition with minor flakes to handles and rim. H 11 3/4".
