Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and recessed "wax sealer" rim, brush-decorated throughout the front with five freehand stripes. Rim chips and minor wear to inner rim for lid. Two small in-the-firing base chips. A small post-firing base chip. Some staining to surface. H 6 1/2".
