Diminutive Glazed Stoneware Spaniel, probably Midwestern, second half 19th century, molded figure of a spaniel seated on an oval base with incised details to face. Surface covered in an Albany slip glaze with overlying salt glaze, creating a greenish "frogskin" appear. Salt-glazed underside with large vent hole. As-made condition with two in-the-firing contact marks to top of head and minor base wear. H 4 1/4".
