Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with footed base and slightly-flared collar with tooled accents, brush-decorated with a double-stemmed tulip plant emanating from the base and swags around the collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Exceptional size. Provenance: Cathy Treffeisen Collection. Excellent condition with a minor in-the-firing flake below rim on reverse and a 1 1/4" U-shaped surface line at base, not visible on interior, which includes a small chip. H 6 7/8".
