Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Remmey, Jr., Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with a large flowering plant motif. Decorated with a stylized floral motif below each handle along with highlights to handle terminals. Chipping around base. Water glass staining to interior and light water glass staining to exterior. H 11 3/8".
