Glazed Redware Butter Tub, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, cylindrical form with footed base including three applied feet to underside, semi-squared rim, and applied rope-twist handles, the surface decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Wear to handles, rim, and interior base. Diam. (at rim) 7 3/4" ; H (to top of handles) 4 7/8".
