Manganese-Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, ovoid jar with footed base and thin, semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in streaks of manganese over an olive ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on underside. Very nice condition with an area of minor surface wear. H 4 1/2".
