Small-Sized Redware Jug with Manganese Glaze, Stamped "I. BELL," John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840, highly-ovoid jug with footed base and tooled spout, the surface covered in a blackish lead-and-manganese glaze. Incised X on underside. Spout with two chips and wear. Wear to handle. Light surface wear to body of jug. Minor nicks to base. H 6 3/4".
