Rare Glazed Pottery Pitcher with Relief Cherub Pattern, attributed to John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1850-1880, molded pitcher with upswept spout and ornamental, angular handle, decorated on two sides with different designs of cherubs in various poses below a grapevine. Exterior decorated with streaked manganese and covered a heavy lead glaze. A few short, glazed-over lines in rim. A minor rim chip. Minor wear to spout. In-the-firing contact marks to underside. H 8 7/8".
