Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Eagle and Banner Motif, Stamped "WM E. WARNER. / WEST-TROY," NY State origin, mid 19th century, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a stylized slip-trailed design of a flying eagle carrying a spotted banner in its beak. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Cathy Treffeisen Collection. Fry to cobalt. A small chip to base of handle. Areas of residue / staining to surface. H 14".
