One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Butterfly Decoration, attributed to Julius Norton, Bennington, VT, circa 1840, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a butterfly near the midsection. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Very nice condition with some staining and a few in-the-firing contact marks to surface. H 11 1/2".
