Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Batter Pail, Stamped "T.G. DAUB / EASTON, PA," late 19th century, ovoid form with tubular pouring spout, applied clay tabs with wood-and-wire bail handle, and handle at base on reverse, brush-decorated with floral petals around the spout and highlights to the applied tabs. Two hairlines from rim on reverse, measuring 2 3/4" and 1 7/8". A small chip to handle at base on reverse. A spout chip and minor in-the-making spout nick. A faint 2 3/4" horizontal line at base on reverse, not visible on interior. Some small chipping to molding below rim. A minuscule rim nick. H 10 3/4".
